AEC's P Plate Program

The P Plate program is a unique mentoring and coaching program that prepares and positions Indigenous high school leavers for the transition into the workforce. It links the students to job or training opportunities with AEC employers through the AEC’s online jobs board prior to leaving school. The P Plate program complements other vocational programs that currently exist within the school system. It commences when an Indigenous student enters high school allowing for 5 years of continuous, comprehensive support.

The P Plate program provides AEC employers with a rich supply of job-ready Indigenous school leavers for recruitment into traineeships, apprenticeships or workforce entry roles within their workplace.
